Play
This work of Art is one of the earlier pieces from a larger series of 70 paintings that David is still working on.
The pool in this series is a metaphor for the gay community and the dynamics between our own community and the outside world, as well as our relationship to each other and ourselves within that community.
His paintings are packed with subtle symbolism, like the figure's lack of hands showing in this one and resulting inability to interact with the ball thrown into the water
