"When I first began watching wildlife documentaries as a child, the lions quickly became my favorite creatures to watch and draw! I enjoyed watching them interact with each other and their social nature really drew me to them.

The cubs, in particular, really captivated me. They’re so small, innocent, and playful and yet they grow up to be these huge, powerful creatures, capable of taking down prey much larger than themselves.

With this drawing, I returned to one of my favorite childhood activities: drawing lions."
