I painted this 5"x7" mixed media piece in 2018 after seeing the remake of the movie IT with my wife. I don't typically paint pop culture characters very often because everyone else does it and I want to be known for my own zombies and monsters and imagery. But I painted this newest incarnation of Pennywise to see how I have improved since painting the original Pennywise (portrayed by Tim Curry) in 2016.

It's amazing how a few years can make a huge difference in artistic skill and confidence.
